The Estate Agency of the Year Awards in association with The Sunday Times are the longest running and most sought after in the industry. First announced in October 2003 the awards were set up to champion and promote the very best performances in estate agency and to give recognition for the winners’ hard work, professionalism and passion. Seven years on and the awards have grown in number, stature and quality – no other event is so well supported and attended.
Now we have another first – The Lettings Agency of the Year Awards in association with The Sunday Times – the first awards event dedicated to Lettings and Property Management to recognise the importance of this industry sector.
Lettings is no longer the junior to Sales– this part of the business is at least as important for many agencies and for some their primary, even exclusive focus. The levels of regulation and responsibility require the highest levels of service and, given the ongoing relationships with both Landlords and Tenants, customer relationship management is much more in the spotlight, so now, the very best Lettings Agencies have the opportunity to be properly recognised and rewarded for their achievements. The judging of the awards will be chaired by The Property Ombudsman and have the backing of ARLA – we are very appreciative of their support and recognition. The Judges will comprise highly experienced property professionals including many leading agents together with other industry experts and specialist journalists all of whom have the experience of seeing many different agencies over many years and hence have the ability to contrast and compare one Lettings Agency with another.
There are categoriesfor single office, small, medium and large agencies and all of these are open for agencies that have both sales & lettings operations as well as those who specialise. Similarly, every agency can enter the specialist award categories which include marketing, innovation and customer service.
The entry process The entry process is really simple – just register your entry online, fill in and submit a simple questionnaire and then you will be called for a telephone interview. The deadline for registering and for returning questionnaires and supporting material is Friday 23rd April 2010. The cost for entry is £199 +VAT per category for registrations received before 30th March 2010(£249 after 30th March)
The awardswill be announced at ‘Lettings Live’ – a whole day event on Tuesday 15th June in London comprising seminars which will feature expert speakers including several top lettings agents, an exclusive exhibition and the awards ceremony.
